A very simple, mainly 'clean' offering from me this time using the die cut bought with a gift voucher. The challenge at
Make My Monday is to use primary colours. . . . . .yikes this is so not what I do normally!! Still, if you don't have a go then you never know do you?
I kept things very simple and tried hard to keep to the colour palette requested. Hopefully a little distressing around the edges is acceptable! At first I tried making the elements without inking of some kind around the edges but it simply didn't work for me. I often don't use sentiments either so this was a challenge in itself as I only have a very SMALL number of sentiment stamps - they amount to no more than an A5 sheet I suppose. I really must do something about that I think.
LOVE IT!! Isn't it great to step outside the comfort zone once in a while? You'll have to let me know where the dies came from as they are superb. So pleased you had a go at putting your own spin on this - you can always be relied upon to do something spectacular. Hugs, Buttons x
ReplyDeleteI think your experiment with primary colours is a total success, Julia. This is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSensational idea. A stunning card, I love how you have achieved the brief coming from another angle. Thanks for sharing with us at Make My Monday, Caz DT
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous one - love the look of the double flower heads, really effective to have them lighter and darker! M x

ReplyDeleteWow Julia! This is really eye-catching and the simplicity is absolutely stunning. I do know what you mean about the colours too as I found it quite hard as well.
